#kara stroking her hair and just letting alex gush a little bit #i love every single acting choice here #between alex looking away and times because she can’t look at kara and kara just patiently look at her sister like she’s the world #and she wishes that alex could see what she sees: the hero who has always protected her and is so smart and tough and beautiful #it was just so perfect for her to follow up with ‘so are you’ because alex is the best and deserves the best #and kara just wants everything for alex and for her to be happy and this is everything you should be to be an ally guys #like fuck glee - THIS is what it is like to be supportive and helpful and full of love for the other person who is struggling so much #this is how you encourage them to embrace the beautiful people they are when they love #and alex finally getting to gush and she’s still closing her eyes sometimes - still looking away because this is new #and this is hard but also easy because of how the weight lifts when you know you can fall and someone will catch you #this is how you make people feel less alone - by doing EXACTLY what Kara does by making it all about Alex and her feelings #and her thoughts and worries and fluttery feelings of crushes and even in the heartbreak to hold them tight and never let go #this is everything it should be like - and I am so so so happy they wrote it this way #like THANK THE FUCK they’re finally giving Kara and Alex so many conversations in this episode because it’s been so overdue #now that we’re past the build up of Alex needing to figure shit out on her own - can we please have our sister nights back #with Kara being there for Alex and them finally talking again? Like I get why they held off on the scenes now - because it’s been #a lot of build up to this episode but I want- no NEED them to be together from now and for Kara to be there for Alex emotionally #especially now so that these speeches have follow through that we can see #may we never go through a string of episodes anymore where they aren’t talking every episode and checking in emotionally with one another #I LOVE THE DANVERS SISTERS SO MUCH #PROTECT THEM FOREVER (via dealanexmachina)
